Watercolors
We have separated painting into two different tour collections. This tour collection contains original watercolors. Since we have regularly collected both original and reproduction art works from our region, we have an additional two hundred reproduction pieces on our walls that are not included in this tour. Many of these are watercolor reproduction prints. Hopefully you can come and visit our total collection in the future. Because many of the pieces are by regional artists, the subject content often reflects local scenes or historic events.
If you click on Table of Contents, above, you will get a list of artists and their works in this section. Of course, an artist may work in several media, so check out the other collections. There is no comprehensive search tool for the complete tour. We have tried to put up two digital images for each work, framed and unframed. While these digital images are our attempt to share this important art work with the world, we recognize that no web image is a true representation of the original format nor can it be the exact size. To see the actual work, please feel free to come and visit our library. You may want to contact the artists themselves, if they are still creating, to see their other works.
